Getting There
We did a lot of planning for our trip, a lot of research and pricing on several websites.
Travel tip: According to CheapFlight, November is the cheapest month to book a flight to Barcelona. June is the most expensive.
Move
It was quite easy to get around via public transport – bus and train – and very walkable into the city center.

What to do?
Architecture and history – all Gaudi buildings and churches are remarkable. Amazing food and nightlife.
Travel tip: Fancy a free visit to the Picasso museums? The first Sunday of the month and Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Find more Barcelona travel tips at FullSuitcase.
Where to stay
We enjoyed a stay in a downtown hotel. Fairly standard price for any major city.
Travel Tip: Check Hotels.com for affordable hotel options in Barcelona.
Where to eat?
All over. It was my favorite part. All the food was fantastic. And with a lot of things like tapas – small plates – it was so easy to try and taste all kinds of new and different foods.

Travel tips
Everyone was very friendly and a lot of English speakers.
Barcelona is in the region of Catalonia in Spain (and its capital), which has its own Catalan language. Good news though, most people who live in Barcelona are bilingual in Catalan and Spanish. In addition, many people understand English. Discover more language tips.
