A dummy balloon in the shape of an airplane bearing the inscription “PIA” (Pakistan International Airlines) was recovered by the police of Jammu and Kashmir in the area of Lambari of the sector of Nowshera in the district of Rajouri. The dummy plane was seized by the police.
PIA is Pakistan’s national airline controlled by the Government of Pakistan for aviation. The mannequin-shaped plane also had a Pakistani national flag on its tail. An investigation is underway.
Two similar dummy planes were recovered by police in Jammu and Kashmir in March this year. The first was discovered in the village of Sotra Chak in the Hiranagar sector on March 10. The other was collected in the Bhalwal area of Jammu on March 16.
Two terrorists supported by LeT neutralized in Kulgam
In a crackdown on terrorist operations in the valley, security forces wiped out two terrorists from the TRF (Resistance Front) on Wednesday during a meeting held in Kulgam district on Wednesday. The confrontation began around 11:20 p.m. in the Redwani area and lasted three hours until two terrorists were neutralized.
The slain terrorists – Amir Dar and Adil Yousuf Shan – belonged to TRF, a terrorist group backed by Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Kashmiri police recovered two pistols, two magazines, seven pistol cartridges and a grenade.
Top LeT terrorist killed in Poonch
J&K Police on Tuesday eliminated a senior LET commander allegedly involved in targeting the armed forces in Poonch last October. The terrorist Abu Zarar, a Pakistani national, may have been sent to the valley to rekindle terrorism.
According to the army document, “the terrorists tried to escape by opening fire on the security forces, but this foreign terrorist was eliminated in response by the security forces, while his accomplice was on the run. The terrorist’s recovery includes AK-47, four magazines (full), a grenade and Indian currency. The recovered objects clearly reveal Pak’s complicity with this terrorist.
Security on Wednesday shot dead another terrorist during a meeting in Pulwama district. The shooting lasted for seven hours in the Usgam Pathri area, after which the terrorist was eliminated. The meeting was conducted in joint coordination of the security forces and the J&K police.
