Dresden Days... an unBEElievable celebration
The shops in Dresden have turned Dresden Days into a week long celebration and you get the gifts! There will be sales, Bee specials, games, and so much more!
We will begin with a Two-day Vendor Event and Block Party, followed by a week long sidewalk sale, games and load of fun! Booths will line Main Street on Saturday and Sunday, July 26-27 with vendors offering crafts, jewelry, baskets, pottery, home décor, clothing, and much more. Vendors will be open 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday.
To add to the excitement, we're having our 1st annual BLOCK PARTY on Saturday evening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. There will be food, beverages, beer garden,
and entertainment giving everyone the opportunity to relax, socialize and have a great time.
Monday morning the streets open back up with great deals in our local stores during the Dresden Days Sidewalk Sale. You won't want to miss this exciting new addition to our event! So mark your calendars for Dresden Days, July 26 - August 1.

Basket Happening - Another Successful Year!
Basket Happening 2008 was a sold out show with 72 vendor tables and over 500 people
shopping for retired Longaberger Baskets, Pottery, Protectors and other accessories. There were also craft and home decor vendors. "Moving to March was very beneficial for Basket Happening," said Tricia Kidd, director of the Dresden Village Association (sponsor of the event). "We had people leaving with bags full of baskets, pottery and other merchandise." Stay tuned for the announcement of Basket Happening 2009 - I guarantee it's an event you won't want to miss!
5th Annual Dresden Pajama Party
Ladies shop in PJ's to save money
Some people will do anything to save a buck (I know I do) and the 5th annual DRESDEN
PAJAMA PARTY brought people from all over to save money by shopping in their pajamas. Tina McMannis from Groveport, Ohio had been working on her costume for close to a year, perfecting the lighted "Follow Me To Dresden" sign she wore with her pajamas. Her work paid off as she won the "Most Traditional" category in the Best Dressed Contest.
This year's event added a cate
gory at the last minute for "Best Dressed Group". Rita Messimer, Judy Bolen, Veronica Palkovic and Esther Zellers, hailing from Hershey, PA came adorned with their hats and scarves to take the prize.
Their was no shortage of laughter that morning. From Miss Piggy hugging Jeff Longaberger to the hatters prancing through Popeye's Soda Shop, we kept everyone is stitches. But lauging wasn't the best part, at 9:00 everyone took off to their favorite shops enjoying significant discounts until 12 noon. "I've come every year but last year (because she was ill) and this event keeps getting better and better - I cannot wait until next year!" said McMannis.
