The streets of Dresden are buzzing for the 19th annual Dresden Days event. Vendors have lined Main Street selling jewelry, pottery, clothing, retired baskets and accessories. There are also some unique items, such as squirrel feeders, jar toppers, dolls, holiday crafts and organic creams and lip balm. Many food vendors are on hand offering everything from salads and steak sandwiches to italian ice, lemon shake-ups and homemade fudge. In front of the Dresden Welcome Center are games of chance. Both kids and adults are lining up for the BEE Bag Toss and the rubber BEE game. We also have artist Donna Burke on hand face painting BEE's. The shop owners in Dresden have joined in the fun by decorating their stores in yellow and black and hanging Bee balloons outside. "We want to pump up the excitement at this year's event and have chose to decorate in bees because Longaberger's annual convention is called The Bee," says Tricia Kidd, director of the Dresden Village Association, who hosts the event.

Jason Mitchell, former Longaberger entertainer who has just signed a recording contract with Universal in Nashville, entertained the guests throughout the afternoon on Saturday. In the evening, the Beer Garden located on 4th and Main was buzzing with AJ Angelo, from Columbus, on the guitar singing everyone's favorite tunes. Dresden residents Steve Miller and Dave Matthew joined in for a few songs as well.

Dresden Days will continue on Tuesday, July 31st and Friday, August 3rd, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Vendors will once again line Main Street and Reb Robinson of Dover will entertain the crowd on Friday evening. New Dates added to the Schedule for 2007!

Our customers have spoken - and we are listening! The shop owners in Dresden have pulled together, adding more dates to the shuttle schedule and making it more convenient for YOU to get to Dresden! Now you can travel back and forth (between Dresden and the Homestead) at your leisure.

Planning a group tour to Dresden and the Homestead? We understand how difficult it is to make everyone on the bus happy. That's why we've added more dates to the shuttle service, allowing guests to set their own schedule. You can also make it easy for your group by purchasing tickets in advance. Not only do you save a dollar per person, but also give them the freedom to run back to the Homestead or Dresden. To order tickets, call the Fun Bus at 1-888-386-2870.
